What are the chances of becomming pregnant, about a month after a misscarriage?
Michelle asked:
I am 19 yrs old. My first pregnancy ended in a misscarriage. I was 11 weeks along. That was about 1 month ago. What are my chances of becomming pregnant right away. I am trying. Will it be easier or harder to get pregnant after a misscarriage?

Firstly, why at 19 are you in such a hurry to become pregnant? Secondly, I was pregnant within a month of miscarrying with two of my kids. It is suggested that you wait a few months before trying to conceive after a miscarriage, but if you’re going to do it anyway, no-ones going to stop you, right?

So sorry about your miscarriage, take care of yourself. My understanding is you should wait at least three months before trying to get pregnant again (let you body heal and spirit heal). I

I had a miscarriage in January and I also went online and wondered how long it will take to get pregnant again. I read so many stories about people becoming pregnant right away but unfortunately I am still not pregnant. My body took a long time to get back to normal. Maybe reading about those stories made me believe that I also will become pregnant right away. See if your period goes back to normal and your body.

First off, I’m 18, and I’m so glad to see I’m not the only young one trying to conceive. Since we are nice and young our bodies are more fertile. I have no clue about miscarriage. I just hope everything works out for you. Good Luck. I would give it a few months to let yourself heal before trying again. I’m not positive but since your body is stressed from the previous pregnancy it could possibly effect your next. That is just my opinion though. Once again good luck!!
people act like we are ruining our lives by having children young. I guess they don’t realize that some women’s goals in life are to have children, not everyone is all about partying and hanging out. Don’t let anyone criticize you for being a young mama.

It is supposed to be easier to get pregnant after a miscarriage. I got pg 1 month after a miscarriage (my 3rd unfortunately) and now have a beautiful 3 year old.
btw…I am a LOT older than you! (20 years in fact!) so your fertility is naturally higher than mine.
